Audition Requirements & Concert Details

This audition is open to classical piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, & guitar students. The applicant must be a high school student between the ages of 13 to 18 with a career goal of pursuing music after high school graduation. Along with your performance video, submit either a written essay or video describing why you want to perform at Carnegie Hall and why you want to pursue music as a career.

Audition Details: 
  • Application deadline is 4/16/2020. You will receive submission directions after purchase. 
  • Repertoire must be memorized, classical music. Maximum length of 6 minutes total & up to 2 pieces. 
  • Selected students and  assigned performance date will be announced by 5/4/2020.  
  • All submissions will receive feedback from  adjudicators after 5/4/2020. 
  • The Winners' Concert participation fee is $320 (this includes 1 performer ticket & 3 guest tickets).

Please note: Since Carnegie Hall has announced that all events and concerts for 2019/2020 season has been cancelled, we will be featuring selected students from this audition in our June 2021 concert.
